Legal Counsel

Our client is looking for a Legal Counsel to provide essential legal advice and support to their business units across Singapore, Thailand, and Southeast Asia. In this in-house role, you will give timely and practical legal guidance on operations, contracts, compliance, complaints, disputes, and litigation. Reporting to the Senior Legal Counsel, you will work closely with unit employees and management to understand their goals and deliver customized legal solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Draft, review, negotiate, and advise on agreements, forms, tenders, and other legal documents to inform units of risks and obligations, achieve business goals, and reduce legal risks.
• Draft, review, and provide expert advice on responses to customer complaints, which may involve collaborating with external parties such as lawyers and regulatory agencies.
• Manage disputes and legal actions, including negotiations and preparation of court documents. Coordinate with external law firms when necessary.
• Support new business proposals and ongoing operations by ensuring regulatory compliance, preparing legal memos, and addressing inquiries from regulators.
