What will you do?

In your role as a Renewables Data Manager, you will have the incredible opportunity to work in a diverse international setting and unleash the commercial value of our existing portfolio of renewable assets. As a professional, your main responsibilities will revolve around unlocking the value of data for our existing portfolio for business steering and process excellence, as well as filling needed roles in market communication. This role will allow you to actively engage with a broad stakeholder community empowering you to enhance your knowledge and expertise in the dynamic world of renewable energy markets.

Within Vattenfall as the (Senior) Renewables Data Manager you have the following key responsibilities:

• You will be responsible to set up and quality assure our sales systems along CRM, Settlement and Data storage
• You will hold responsibility for underlying data flows
• You will unlock existing data for reporting to analyze potential improvements of existing processes as well as to increase our business performance and profitability
• You take responsibility for fulfillment of services to all customers and relevant market players (including communication to grid operator)
• You follow actively regulatory changes for one or more of our key markets and judge impact on our lines of business as well as resulting need for change
• You will participate and lead project initiatives to implement change

Requirements

We are looking for a candidate with the following knowledge and background:

• Proper understanding of energy and the renewables PPA market
  Relevant work experience of at least 3 to 5 years and network in the energy sector
• Experience with energy market regulation and corresponding roles concerning communication in between market participants
• Experience with data driven systems used for energy trading and risk management, as well as market communication and settlement
• Solid attention to detail and affinity for analytic work including knowledge of PowerBI
• University degree in relevant discipline, such as engineering or data science
• Team player with excellent communication skills and solution orientation
• Fluent in English, written and verbal; solid knowledge in German is considered a plus
