Requirements
About the role:
As a Platform Engineering Manager at Civica, you will be responsible for leading a team of engineers that design, build and maintain Civica’s cloud-based platforms. You will ensure that the team has the people, processes and tools to excel at delivering services for our customers. You’ll be involved in the technical detail, helping the team to find solutions to technical problems. You’ll co-ordinate activities with stakeholders and other teams, proactively remove blockers, and help plan work, making sure that the team delivers impact for the citizens that we serve. If you enjoy challenging, multi-faceted roles that allow you to excel in technical contribution as well as people and project management, this role would be a good fit.

- Working with the team to deliver systems that are performant, reliable, secure, and scalable
- Facilitating fast and effective communication within your team and with other teams
- Thinking strategically, proposing team roadmaps that feed into larger organisational roadmaps

We’d like you to have experience with:
- Managing one or more platform teams in a fast-paced environment
- Working with stakeholders to set and manage priorities
- Agile methodologies
- DevOps concepts and practices
- Designing, building and maintaining cloud platforms
It would also be great if you have experience with:
- Implementing an internal developer platform
- Software development or managing software development teams
