Tasks and Qualifications:

As the Global Head of the group function market intelligence, you will be a sparring partner to the Board and Senior Management to identify macro-economic trends that might an will affect KION business early on. You and your team will analyze our multi-layered market and competitive environment, observe/track trends, uncover them and develop market forecasts with the help of industry-relevant data to sustainably support the company's development.

This includes:

  • Derive a robust model and KPI to analyze mega and macro-economic trends, market developments and competitive environment, and derive potential effects continuously and proactively for KION.

  • Increase accuracy of the delivered forecasts and statistics and deepen the level of insights for an improved and more precise steering of KION.

  • Develop a robust model to analyze activities in the capital market affecting the KION share price and derive joint measures to address the issues.

  • Identify and keep track of mega trends and technology trends affecting the supply chain market, including a comprehensive and consistent competitor analysis.

  • Develop a robust model to forecast supply chain market development and analysis, order intake forecast and planning at required level of granularity for both Operating Units, SCS and ITS.

  • Contribute to KION Group reports, external or internal, and support in preparation of analysts and investor relations activities of the Board

  • Represent KION Group’s interest in the European trade association (FEM) and the German trade association (VDMA), as well as in cooperation with other external partners.

  • Disciplinary manage the day-to-day team activities, team budget and team development plans.

Your profile:

  • You have a Master’s degree in business administration, marketing, economics, or related combined with an additional qualification in the market intelligence field.
  • With 10+ years of experience in corporate strategy, market research, seizing and forecasting, competitive analysis, or business intelligence, you are a recognized expert.
  • You have a deep business acumen and understanding of business and context.
  • You master state-of-the-art market research tools and techniques and support KION’s decision makers with actionable insights.
  • You combine strong strategic-analytical skills with the ability to analyze and interpret complex data sets and trends in various markets with excellent written and verbal communication skills to present insights to Senior Executives and Board members
  • You are a strategic and operative leader and people orchestrator with drive and an entrepreneurial mind-set.
  • Fluency in German and English is a must.
  • Knowledge of the supply chain or material handling market is a plus.
