About the role

Join our dynamic and bustling team where governance is still a work in progress. We thrive in navigating day-to-day scenarios where clarity isn't always guaranteed.

As our new Senior Azure Engineer you will have the overall Azure Governance, management of Azure, as well as architectural design oversight for Azure infrastructure. Beside this, you will also be the tech lead for the Service Team within Data Center Department.

You will be responsible for:

• Formulating and enforcing proper standards for Azure usage.
• Help defining areas of responsibilities within Azure and setup guardrails for Azure usage.
• Budget management and cost reporting for Azure subscriptions and resources.
• Collaboration and Support to other tribes in DFDS.
• Collaborating with other teams within DFDS to design, deploy, and optimize cloud solutions on Azure.
• Providing support to application teams to ensure effective usage of Azure on agreed platforms.
• Setting up and managing cloud resources to ensure high availability, scalability, and performance.
• Supporting infrastructure various Microsoft Power Platform components including CRM (Sales), Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI.
• Providing knowledge sharing and support to S&O teams, MS on-prem data gateway, Entra ID, and various databases.
• Owning the Kanban and conducting bi-weekly standups and coordinating tasks within the team to ensure efficient operations.

As a role with Team Coordinating aspects, you'll need to excel in structured collaboration and enjoy leading from the front. While there are currently no line management responsibilities, the potential for such growth may arise in 2-5 years. Our team comprises technically skilled individuals who prioritise technology over structure and communication.

Your background can be many, but we imagine the ideal candidate has the following qualifications:

• Proficiency in Azure services, architecture, and governance.
• Strong leadership skills for team management and collaboration
• Create order in chaos and be proactive in building governance
• Experience in architectural design and oversight
• Knowledge of DevOps principles and continuous improvement
• Familiarity with Microsoft Power Platform components

Besides this it will be an advantage if you have technical expertise in:

• CI/CD Pipelines
• Cloud native security & compliance
• DevOps & Platform Engineering
• Automation, PowerShell/Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform)
