Job Description:

Job Summary:
This position is primary responsible for implementing the Mars P&O Strategy to the CHB Site so that the organization attracts, manages, develops, and retains the associates it needs to achieve.

Short and long term

Petcare business strategy and objectives

  • To establish short- and long-term goals to drive business success, ensure that people agenda is actioned and to drive associate advocacy.
  • To bring to life a talent strategy that supports growth and associate development & engagement; keep a ‘pulse’ of the business and develop appropriate OD interventions that strengthen the health of the organization to enable a high performing culture.
  • To drive efficiency across the P&O operating model by: Facilitating the adoption of Mars signature programs, leading and managing unit specific projects, providing P&O support to units, and interfacing with Line Managers at CHB site
  • To guide and support Line Managers to most effectively and efficiently serve Mars associates. Address any escalated issues as needed.
  • To analyze and interpret bargaining trends and issues, as well as employment standards, regulations, and laws to understand how this impact the organization and adapt employee relations practices as appropriate.

Responsibilities

  • Support Line Managers on the implementation of P&O strategic plan for new CHB site
  • Shape the nature of P&O programs, processes, policies, and service delivery based on the business environment/ strategy and talent implications
  • Propose relevant and impactful P&O solutions to the business
  • Support and foster associate advocacy as well as establish & manage ‘Welfare Committee’ which is the key mechanics to strengthen the employee relations in the organization.
  • Giving advice and consult to both LM and associates when questions of work morale or relationship issues have been raised.
  • Actively consult and provide solutions to Line Managers on workforce, talent and organizational matter
  • Partner with the business to identify, assess, reward and develop talent
  • Bring best practice to the design and implementation of workforce and talent initiatives that align with the key business objectives
  • Model and instill a talent focused culture / organizational values within the business
  • Participate in recruitment panels, conduct interviews, complete evaluation forms, and support other key recruiting activities as needed.
  • Collaborate with Line Managers on the implementation of organization design changes and ensure they are aligned with the Five Principles and defined global principles
  • Implement regional and local initiatives that aligned with strategic business objectives
  • Embed Mars Signature process and P&O Foundation in CHB site
  • Identify and address P&O trends with targeted and insightful solutions that impact the business
  • Counsel Line Managers and business leadership on a broad range of P&O matter
  • Support locally based P&O associates by to identify / resolve critical issues
  • Utilize functional specialists for complex business and / or associate issue that arise
  • Provide targeted coaching to Line Managers on complex issues
  • Advise Line Managers to ensure that all Mars – associate relationships in the organization are conducted in the way that complies with employment contracts, regulations, laws and the organization’s employment policies and standards.
  • Keep up to date with the employee relations climate in the organization and the industry and with proposed and actual changes in employee relation regulations so that the organization’s employee relations policies related with remain current & relevant
  • Be a partner with business leaders of workforce planning, staffing to ensure that the CHB site can be operated as planned. Also support on facilities & benefits provision to associates of CHB site and make sure we are competitive & attractive for newcomers in that area.

Qualification:

  • Education & Professional Qualification
  • Bachelor’s degree in any fields with at least 10 years' experience in HRD/HRM
  • Background in FMCG is preferred
  • Good understanding of people processes such as recruitment, associate development, performance management
  • Strong coaching and counselling skills
  • High ethical standards, passion in people, good motivating and influencing skills
  • Good command of spoken and written in English
  • Be able to work independent
