THE POSITION

Sunnova Energy is searching for a Compliance Director to assist with its consumer finance compliance management system as it relates to the company’s domestic operations. This position supports the Compliance Team and other related stakeholders to meet Sunnova’s business expansion and growth, contributing to the company’s evolution. The successful candidate will have precise attention to detail, a professional disposition and intrinsic motivation. They will be an energized team member who can work cross-functionally to define and execute on a vision for the business.

COMPLIANCE DIRECTOR RESPONSIBILITIES

•Consumer Complaints - Assist with:

o Complaint management system including any implementation issues

o Consumer Credit disputes – Direct

o e-OSCAR – Indirect

•Input into internal and external audits and assist with reports as they pertain to consumer finance compliance management.

•Testing results - Assist with and supervise:

o Research/analysis of fails (root cause analysis)

o Determine, recommend, and assist with implementation of permanent corrective actions

•Assist with Training Program

•Assist with data privacy and data security in terms of domestic requirements

•Assist with change management as it relates to consumer management functionality

•Assist with responses to examinations and information requests

•Policy and Procedure Management as it relates to consumer finance issues

•Monthly and quarterly compliance report

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

•Bachelor’s degree or paralegal certification

•7+ years’ consumer finance compliance experience

•Experience using Salesforce, Adobe, and general familiarity with compliance software

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

•10+ years extensive experience in supporting compliance management systems

•Proven track record of successful completion of high-level projects involving cross business and cross functional teams

•Experience working directly with internal partners, and with reviewing and providing guidance on compliance management systems and issues

•Familiarity with laws and rules governing compliance management including but not limited to FCRA, FDCPA, TILA, TCPA, GLBA, as well as applicable state laws

•Strong collaboration skill, and written and verbal communication

•Strong problem-solving skills

•Strong organization skills and attention to detail

•Ability to adjust to changing project priorities, work well under pressure and adhere to strict deadlines

•Ability to work as a team member and interact with other departments
