Job Description:
Registered Nurse, Orthopedics
Shift: Full Time, Nights
Where You'll Be:
Baptist Health Louisville has two 24-bed orthopedic units, each with private rooms. Ranked high-performing by US News and World Report for knee replacements, these units specialize in post-operative care for orthopedic and joint replacement patients, including those who have undergone rotator cuff repair, shoulder surgery, discectomy, laminectomy, spinal fusion, and orthopedic trauma. New graduate nurses are welcome.
What You'll Do:
- Perform comprehensive assessments of orthopedic patients
- Develop and implement individualized care plans
- Administer medications, treatments, and pain management
- Assist in pre-operative and post-operative care
- Monitor patient progress and adjust care plans as necessary
- Educate patients and families on recovery and rehabilitation
- Collaborate with physicians, physical therapists, and other healthcare professionals
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards
- Provide support and education on preventive care and lifestyle modifications
What You'll Need:
- Active Kentucky RN License
- BCLS Certification
