Research Fellow

The School of Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering (MAE) invites applications for the position of Research Fellow.

The Research Fellow will carry out research project for industrial robot controller and applications with open source environment ROS2.

Key Responsibilities:

• Responsible for promotion to and coordination with industry partners both locally and internationally
• Responsible for developing ROS2 controller application & AI software integration
• Assisting the team for robot system validation with ROS2 controller

Job Requirements:

• PhD in Robotics from Mechanical Engineering / Electrical Engineering / Computer Engineering
• Very familiar with industrial manipulator kinematics, dynamics, control and motion planning
• Good hands-on experience on industrial robot controller and programming libraries
• Familiar with C/C++, ROS, Linux OS, Windows OS, and other similar libraries and software tools
• Good robot system integration and application experiences
