Project Officer

The School of Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering (MAE) invites applications for the position of Project Officer.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work is related to project officer to support metal 3D printing in particular metal jet binding and wire arc additive manufacturing.
• Experimental Design and Execution.
  • Design and conduct experiments related to MJB and WAAM processes. Develop and optimize printing parameters to improve print quality and efficiency.
• Process Monitoring, Control, Maintenance and Calibration.
  • Monitor the 3D printing process to ensure consistency and quality of the output. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues that arise during printing. Regularly maintain and calibrate 3D printing equipment to ensure optimal performance. Perform routine checks and preventative maintenance on lab equipment.
• Material Handling and Post Processing.
  • Select and prepare materials for the printing process, including metals and alloys. Test and evaluate new materials for suitability in MJB and WAAM.
