Information about the project to which the call applies:

Within the City of Malmö, the city's school administrations (Preschool, Primary School & High School & Adult Education) run a joint project whose mission is to procure and implement a modern and user-friendly administrative joint student administrative system support.

In order to best implement the complex transition with around thirty integrations and three operations, we are looking for a test lead with great cooperation and communication skills.

Assignment description and scope:

The Test lead role in the project has overall responsibility for operational testing and ensures that all processes and requirements are tested thoroughly and efficiently. The test manager coordinates and leads the testing in the operations and acts as a communication link between various stakeholders, including users and project management. You need to be able to manage complex projects and tight time frames, and you will collaborate with operations and technical projects, so good communication skills are important.

Your role is to both lead others and to carry out much of the work required yourself. In order to be able to define what, when and how we test, you need to understand how the information is handled and flows, as well as having an eye for the overall system landscape. You need to be pragmatic and comfortable with testing yourself, as you will collaborate with the business's experts. You must have solid experience in test management and be familiar with test processes, test strategies and test methodology. It is important that you have the ability to plan, organize, prioritize and perform tests to ensure that the project meets the needs of the business.

You must, among other things:

  • Together with the project, develop an implementation plan.
  • Based on the implementation plan and together with the project develop a test strategy and a test plan with test goals, as well as criteria for approval based on the project's goals and deliverables.
  • Develop and document test cases and test scenarios that are clear, measurable and represent different use cases and business processes within the school system.
  • Produce test reports with summaries of status and possible action needs.
  • Develop process for error reporting and error handling, and work with the project team to resolve errors.
  • Ensure adequate documentation of the test work, as agreed with the receiving organization.
