The Clients, Markets and Products Committee is designed to focus on "One Firm" client centric growth which is co-led by the Global Clients, Markets and Products ("CMP") Partner and Chief Client Officer ("CCO"). The stated aim is to create a "clients first" culture and ensure we collaborate around our clients to deliver the highest quality legal services from practice area, product and sector specialists.

The Data Analyst role is a key role within the Client Insights & Business Intelligence (CIBI) team, which will support the Global Head of Client Insights & Business Intelligence and the broader Client & Market Development (CMD) function. The role will have a particular focus on analysing and interpreting data to provide actionable insights that support data-driven decision processes, optimize client engagement, and drive business growth.

This role will include working on complex data models, while also acting as a subject matter expert in reporting (e.g. Excel, PowerBI) and drive the adoption of analytics and reporting best practices and standards across CMD.

The Data Analyst will collaborate with various business professional departments and practice areas including; Business Development (CMD), Brand and Marketing (BCM), Knowledge (KETL), Finance and IT (general systems, legal technology and data science) to align client and business intelligence efforts with wider Firm goals.

You will be responsible for

Complex Data Models

  • Responsible for identifying opportunities to use data to support business development decision-making, creating and maintaining complex data models. These models will help us gain insights into market trends, opportunities for growth and profitability, and enhancement of client experience and behaviour.
  • Conduct in-depth data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and correlations relevant to our clients, market and products.

Data collection

  • Support the collection, analysis, and interpretation of business data, ensuring its accuracy and consistency, including data pre-processing, transformation, and quality checks to prepare it for analysis.
  • Establish and maintain data governance standards to ensure the accuracy, consistency, and security of data assets.
  • Proactively find new data points and spot opportunities to engage in new analysis in support of business development.

Visualisation

  • Create interactive dashboards that visualise key insights, performance metrics, and KPIs to enable executive leadership and stakeholders to make data-driven decisions.
  • Evaluate and recommend tools and technologies that enable efficient data collection, analysis, and reporting.

Lead Scoring and predictive models

  • Provide support in the development and implementation of lead scoring models that help identify high-value opportunities.
  • Work with the data science team on predictive analytics models to gain more accurate insights on cross-selling and upselling opportunities, optimise campaign management and identify buying behaviours.

Client feedback and listening

  • Conduct statistical analyses on client, matter and secondee survey responses. Analyse client satisfaction ratings, identify trends, and correlate them with specific practice areas, sector or clients.

Requirements

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Experience with complex data modelling and statistical techniques.
  • Strong knowledge of SQL, Power BI and/or Tableau
  • Ideally, you'll have worked in a large global organisation. Law firm experience is desirable but not essential.
