The automotive industry is going through a revolutionary transformation. In your role as Automotive Embedded Systems Compiler Team Manager, you will lead the team that creates SW Tools and Utilities such as Compilers based on GCC/LLVM, Assemblers, and Linkers for ARM, RISC-V, and NXP-specific accelerators, serving all the automotive areas, from general-purpose body controllers to gateway processors and chassis, powertrain and safety domain and zonal controllers.

Your responsibilities

  • Create and develop teams and align with cross-team way of working (KPIs, metrics, reporting).
  • Drive resource planning and delivery timeline to generate roadmaps.
  • Use data and metrics with customer inputs to drive software tools strategy decisions with Product Lines.
  • Manage change requests and facilitate product lines prioritization discussions.
  • Create current and future value through research, and development, that influences business investments.

Your team

Our team develops a broad range of SW Build Tools designed to help and assist our customers throughout the entire SW development process, combining open source and specific components and plugins, to deliver products that are the basis for customer applications development in the area of Connectivity and Security, Advanced Driver Assistance Systems, Vehicle Dynamics, and General-Purpose Integrated Solutions.

You will report to the Platform Software and Tools Organization of NXP and, together with your team, deliver the next generation of products for all automotive areas.

Your profile

To be successful in this role you have:

  • Bachelor or Master of Science in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science with more than 5 years of automotive industry experience
  • Experience in building and leading large software research and development teams.
  • Good understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle from requirements to maintenance
  • Strong social competence and ability to work across and integrate multi-cultural teams and interfaces
  • Excellent English communication skills

Furthermore, you are:

  • Able to abstract complex situations and constructs and present executive summaries and action plans
  • Familiar with the software development process
  • Agile and flexible with changing priorities and business needs and in finding win-win solutions in complex situations
  • Driven by a high sense of urgency and customer focus.

Contract: This is a fulltime position with a permanent contract
