IAM Application Engineer

In this role, you will be working in a fun, challenging, fast-paced environment administering our business applications and reporting tools within Cloud Operations and Security. These include applications and software used for productivity, data warehouse/analytics, orchestration, monitoring, customer relationship management, and others. You support every product and customer team at Coupa, by providing them the collaboration and efficiency services they need to be successful. You are a self-starter, comfortable with ambiguity, with strong attention to detail and passion for data; have a sense of humor and ability to have fun while working in a fast-paced and changing environment. Our teams are close-knit, high performing and insatiably curious. We are unsatisfied with half-answers and incomplete solutions.

What You’ll Do:

• Work closely with cloud engineers, software developers and IT to build out service management applications, data pipelines and reporting.
• Design, test & maintain integration processes between applications across the cloud and/or on-premises using automation tools and scripting.
• Assist in the development of application integration automation and operational support strategies
• Explore unconventional opportunities to automate manual processes.
• Take responsibility for architectural and technical project documentation
• Develop and implement Atlassian projects/spaces, comprehensive workflows, screen schemes, permission schemes, and notification schemes with a strong emphasis on usability, component reusability, security and leverage of various marketplace components
• Work independently with stakeholders and clients to design and deliver JIRA workflows to meet the stated and unstated business requirements
• Implement identity access management solutions that automate user lifecycle management for service management applications and tools using security best practices which are compliant with corporate policies
• Provide technical support for service management applications and tools

What You Bring to Coupa:

• A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related studies
• Demonstrate understanding of identity standards such as SSO, SAML, OIDC, etc
• Demonstrate advanced administrative skills with Atlassian product, bonus for agile experience
• Comfort with orchestration tools such as Workato, Rundeck, Chef etc.
• Comfortable writing and troubleshooting scripts using Python, Ba$h, shell or equivalent
• Comfortable with identity providers such as AD, Okta, Ping, etc.
• Experience administering applications hosted within a public cloud environment
• Comfortable with Windows / Linux operating system administration would be a plus
• You communicate well and are easily understood in writing and verbal interactions.
• Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours emergencies.
• Some international travel may be required.
