Pastel Accountant

Hire Resolve is currently seeking a skilled Pastel Accountant to join our client's team in Cape Town. Our client is a reputable company and is looking for a motivated individual with experience in using Pastel accounting software. As a Pastel Accountant, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial reports, and assisting with budgeting and forecasting. Responsibilities

• Responsible for managing several entities
• Process all bank statements, supplier and journal entries up to Trial balance
• Prepare monthly financial reports
• Process payments on online banking
• Process and reconcile supplier accounts
• Reconcile General Ledger accounts
• Petty cash control and reconciliation
• Bad debt control and disbursements
• Full creditors functions – updating of all creditors contracts and renewals
• VAT reconciliation and control and e-filing submission
• Process on Profsoft CRM system daily – maintenance of clients and reporting functions
• Maintain orderly file records
• Responsible for IT coordination, insurance reviews/ updates and renewals

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field
• Proven experience as an Accountant
• Strong knowledge of Pastel accounting software
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other accounting tools
• Attention to detail and excellent analytical skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work well in a team and meet deadlines
