About PLUS:

PLUS is an award-winning human-AI math tutoring program that aims to double the rate of math learning in middle school students, especially those from low-income families. PLUS is operated by CMU in collaboration with Carnegie Learning and Stanford University and is led by Prof. Ken Koedinger and Shivang Gupta.

The PLUS program features a hybrid tutoring platform that combines human and AI tutoring to deliver personalized learning for each student. PLUS Tutoring serves thousands of students in over a dozen schools across the country.

About The Role:

As a Product Manager at PLUS, you will play a critical role in supporting the development and management of our product portfolio. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, research, and leadership, to ensure successful product launches and continuous improvement of our offerings. Your core responsibilities will include:

  • Product Development Support: Assist in the development of product requirements, specifications, and roadmaps. Collaborate with research, engineering, and design teams to bring new products and features to market.
  • User Research: Coordinate with multiple stakeholders to prioritize product features based on both user needs as well as research requirements.
  • Data Analysis: Find and analyze data to inform product strategy and decision-making.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date product documentation, including user manuals, release notes, and product specifications.
  • Reporting: Generate reports and presentations to communicate product performance, roadmap progress, and key insights to stakeholders.
  • User Training: Develop and deliver training to educate users on product features and best practices.

What You Bring:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. Master’s degree is preferred.
  • Experience: Internship or coursework related to product management, learning science, or a similar role is required. Prior work experience in technology product management is preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Self-driven and comfortable with clarifying ambiguity.
  • Proficiency in Notion, Kanban systems, and data visualization tools is preferred.
  • Eager to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
