WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Our objectives: reliable and repeatable insights, and therefore high data quality, robust data models, and fast iterations but within sustainable designs. We see strong data normalisation, frequent knowledge-sharing and intense collaboration, whether remotely or onsite, as key factors for scalability.

What we’d love to see:

  • You have an extensive knowledge of SQL and a deep understanding of relational database modelling and the normalisation thereof.
  • You have several years of experience in designing and expanding data models; building and maintaining ELT data pipelines, and maintaining RDBMS.
  • You bring profound abilities to translate requests for insights into a corresponding BI logic in SQL and/or Python.
  • You are familiar with Docker, Git (trunk-based development), DevOps & Shell scripting.
  • You are experienced in performing technical analysis for debugging and data quality improvements.
  • You have a good understanding of REST APIs, File Transfer (S3)
  • You can count on excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and bring the ability to accurately document designs and processes.

What we’d additionally appreciate:

  • You bring experience with DBT, OAuth, ArgoCD, GitLab, AWS (e.g., Airflow), Kubernetes, Meltano, Singer, and Salesforce.
  • You have knowledge of PostgreSQL-internals

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • You will take in the team end-to-end responsibility from data ingestion to presenting ready-to-use insights (dashboards, reports etc.).

  • You will liaise with the owners of source systems to align the data contracts.

  • In particular, you will create, extend, change and support the underlying relational database data model; the data injection and transformation pipelines; the source system data exchange interface specifications; the analytical queries, and data visualisations.

  • You will perform root cause analysis in collaboration with other teams, and recommend and implement changes to improve data quality.

  • You will contribute to KPI definitions for data analytics together with the business, and will help ensuring visibility between internal teams and departments.

  • You build and maintain strong working relationships with the development and business teams.

  • You record and share information on current working methods and lessons learned from other parts of the business that will benefit the role and team.
