THE OPPORTUNITY: Engineering Manager
REPORTS TO: Director of Engineering
LOCATION: US - Remote
Headquartered in Los Angeles, CA with an office in New York, NY, Birdy Grey supports remote work for eligible roles. We ask that all employees travel to either office once a quarter. This role is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
Birdy Grey is looking for an eCommerce focused Engineering Manager to lead our site experience engineering team. This role will be responsible for launching new features, fixing bugs, addressing tech dept, and refactoring legacy code on our custom Shopify ecommerce storefront. This is a hands-on people management role where your time will be spent mentoring direct reports, managing engineering tasks, writing code, scoping, planning, and strategizing.
SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conduct regular 1:1s, goal setting exercises, and performance reviews
- Navigate challenges and support career development of direct reports
- Lead agile processes such as daily standup, backlog grooming, sprint planning, etc
