This is a field based remote opportunity and can be located anywhere in the US near a major airport with frequent travel that is typically less than 50%.

Your role:

The Cloud Services organization delivers consulting and engineering engagements to clients of Ingram Micro’s Partners, on behalf of or in conjunction with Ingram Micro’s Partners. This team performs both pre-sales and delivery activities associated to those engagements. In this role, you will initially work with Cloud Services Management to establish a Migration Services Factory specific to supporting Ingram Micro's SMB partner's and their SMB clients. Once established, you will lead the pre-sales and project oversight for the SMB Migration Factory with your role being 50% Project Delivery and 50% pre-sales (Scoping, Pricing, Building Statements of Work, engagement with AWS).

In this Service Architect role, you are responsible for designing and implementing service delivery solutions and strategies that align with client needs and business objectives. You are crafting service delivery frameworks, identifying the right technologies and methodologies, and ensuring that services are delivered effectively. You will play a pivotal role as an Architect shaping the overall service delivery landscape in your organization and will be known for your technical expertise, strategic thinking, and client-oriented approach, playing a lead role on consulting engagements. You are the face to the customer and provide leadership of the delivery team.

Typically, less than 50% travel, it will depend on the projects they are assigned to sometimes they will go several months without travel, then have a project that requires more onsite time with the client.

  • Service Design or Delivery: Developing and designing service delivery frameworks or delivering complex services, which may include processes, methodologies, and technology solutions to meet the specific requirements of clients. This involves creating detailed as builds documentation and architectural plans that address client needs and challenges.
  • Technical Expertise: Leveraging a deep understanding of technology and systems to design solutions that are technically sound and capable of delivering or designing the desired services efficiently and effectively.
  • Client Engagement: Collaborating and consulting closely with clients to understand their needs, goals, and constraints, and aligning solutions with these client-specific requirements. Client engagement is essential to ensure that the architectural design or deployment meets client expectations allowing a pre-sales engagement to go from opportunity to sale.
  • Project Leadership: Taking the lead on projects, managing resources, timelines, and budgets, and ensuring the successful execution of service delivery solutions. This involves coordinating efforts across teams and stakeholders.
  • Quality Assurance: Implementing and maintaining quality standards and best practices to ensure that service delivery solutions meet high-quality benchmarks. This includes evaluating the performance and effectiveness of service delivery.
  • Mentorship and Collaboration: Mentoring and collaborating with junior architects and other team members to share knowledge, best practices, and guidance.
  • Innovation and Continuous Improvement: Staying current with industry trends and technological advancements, and actively seeking opportunities to enhance service delivery processes, efficiency, and overall quality.
  • Strategic Thinking: Contributing to the strategic direction of service delivery within the organization, including shaping the services strategy and aligning it with business objectives.
  • Client Relationship Management: Building and nurturing strong, long-lasting relationships with key clients to ensure their ongoing satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Thought Leadership: Providing thought leadership within the organization and, in some cases, the industry, by contributing to the development of standards and industry best practices.

What you bring to the role:

  • Four-year college degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in a related technical field required.
  • 5 + years of functional experience including a minimum of 3 + years position specific technical architect experience.
  • 3 + years of functional experience delivering and selling cloud services within the SMB market.
  • 2 + years of experience performing AWS Migration projects, delivery, and pre-sales roles with a consultancy.
  • 2 + years of experience designing enterprise AWS architecture.
  • 2 + years of experience with both IaaS and Cloud native services within AWS.
  • 2 or more of the following certifications, or similar AWS certifications, or similar AWS certifications, with a minimum of one being a preferred certification, with a willingness to train for and obtain a 2nd preferred certification.

The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $88,700.00 - $150,800.00 per year.

The ranges above reflect the potential annual base pay across the U.S. for all roles; the applicable base pay range will depend on the candidate’s primary work location, pay grade, and variable compensation plan. Individual base pay within each range depends on various factors, in addition to primary work location, such as complexity and responsibility of role, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience and skills. Base pay ranges are reviewed and typically updated each year. Offers are made within the base pay range applicable at the time of hire. New hires starting base pay generally falls in the bottom half (between the minimum and midpoint) of a pay range.
