Hispanic Media Monitor

The Hispanic Media Monitor will be a critical member of the DNC's Hispanic Media team. The Hispanic Media Monitor follows all forms of Latino and Spanish-language media to track news events each day and monitor breaking news in real time to assist the rapid response and press teams, including through drafting press materials and memos.

Responsibilities

• Work in coordination with the Hispanic Media team to craft and execute the DNC’s rapid response strategy and surrogate communications operation targeted at Latino voters;
• Identify opportunities to accomplish the DNC’s Latino and Spanish-language message goals by following news events, tracking surrogate interviews, and monitoring breaking news throughout the day on a variety of sources, including online/print sources, social media, and cable news;
• Assist with the distribution and quality of written materials, from drafting to delivery;
• Complete assignments on identifying media trends and coverage;
• Carry out special projects and message events;
• Other duties as assigned to support the department and the DNC's mission.
