Security Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Information Security Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role is integral to ensuring that our AI systems and platforms maintain the highest standards of security, compliance, and data protection. As an Information Security Engineer at Ema, you will work on innovative security solutions to safeguard our proprietary technologies and client data.

Responsibilities:

• Act as a hands-on expert for security technologies and controls, ensuring performance, operability, and scalability.
• Develop, implement, and maintain security measures across Ema’s AI systems and applications.
• Demonstrate strong technical knowledge in areas such as incident response, identity and access management, application security, threat and vulnerability management, and cloud security (AWS, Azure).
• Work in a multi-cloud environment to ensure secure integration and operation.
• Act as an internal expert to technology and business groups, supporting the adoption of cutting-edge security practices.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with developers, technology teams, and business application owners to foster a security-first culture.
• Formulate, implement, and enforce industry best practices for information security.
• Collaborate with key technical experts, technology teams, and external industry groups to resolve complex technical issues and achieve security goals.
• Develop and implement new, innovative, and differentiating security technologies tailored to the needs of Ema’s AI solutions.
• Ensure compliance with international standards and robust data protection measures.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in MIS, Computer Science, or a related technology field.
• 3-5 years of experience in information security, preferably in technology or related fields.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence and build consensus.
• Proven ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment and prioritize duties to meet deadlines with limited supervision.
• Strategic problem-solving skills and a strong focus on security.
• Effective teaching, mentoring, and knowledge transfer skills.
• Experience with maintaining strong documentation and providing support and maintenance.
• Ability to interact confidently with counterparts at all levels within the firm.
• Proven experience working in heavily distributed environments and being on-call for support and maintenance issues.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate with teams spanning a range of locations.
• Consulting experience is a plus.
• Strong presentation skills and the ability to convey complex security concepts to diverse audiences.
