Junior Electrical Engineer

In this Junior Electrical Engineer (all genders) role, you will join the VÆRIDION R&D team within the Technology division in the field of electrical engineering, enabling us to develop cutting-edge batteries for all-electric aircraft. No day will be the same and you will be given a healthy amount of responsibility and autonomy, always supported by the team.

Your Day-to-Day:

• Assist in the design and development of battery management systems (BMS), networks and power electronics for electric planes.
• Conduct performance analysis, simulation and testing of various battery technologies, including lithium-ion batteries.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including hardware, software, mechanical, and systems engineers, to integrate battery systems into electric aircraft designs.
• Perform safety and reliability assessments to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations, e.g. FMEAs.
• Participate in the development of prototypes and contribute to the overall improvement of battery performance.
• Perform schematic capture, PCB layout, and component selection to meet project specifications and regulatory requirements.
• Support manufacturing and testing teams with troubleshooting and resolving hardware issues.
• Generate detailed documentation, including design specifications, test procedures, and technical reports.
• Master’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field.
• Strong understanding of power systems, energy storage, and energy management technologies.
• Proficiency in MATLAB, Simulink, LTSpice, Altium, and other simulation tools.
• Hands-on experience with battery testing equipment and power electronics is a plus.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, multidisciplinary team environment.
