Job description

Swan is seeking a Lead Product Designer to join its Product team based in Paris in order to build the most efficient and elegant BaaS (Bank as a Service) on the market.

Reporting to our VP Product, you will manage and lead our Product Design team currently counting one Product Designer.

The Design team’s mission is to make it easy for our partners, who are new to the banking sector, to integrate complex payment services into their products.

✨ Your responsibilities include:

• Manage and lead your Design team, providing guidance, mentorship, and coaching to team members.

• Drive people management initiatives, including hiring, performance reviews, ladder improvement, and employee retention.

• Work alongside our Product Managers to design, build and iterate on new innovative features and services for our partners and end-users.

• Be the voice of customers to prioritise changes to the product, in relation with the various stakeholders (internal or customers)

• Improve, promote and contribute to our Product Design System

• Ensure a seamless user experience across devices by integrating responsive mobile design elements into our Design System.

• Build, nurture and share the Product Design vision for Swan inside the product team, the company and outside of Swan.

• Provide occasional support to Brand and Visual design teams as needed.

Preferred experience

✨ You’re a great match if:

• You have 3-5 years experience as a Product Designer
• You have 3+ years experience in a management position
• You are driven by outcomes and not features, and you put your user sensibility at the service of you work every day.
• You are rigorous and have an eye for detail.
• You have strong UI design skills & proficient in using Figma.
• You are an excellent team player, comfortable collaborating with multiple teams in an international environment.
• You are proficient in English. French is a plus.
• Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for Front-end Integration is a plus. As well as knowledge of Vectorial Design.
