Associate Financial Analyst

The primary purpose of this position is to assist with monthly close; monthly financial reporting and analysis; preparation of the annual financial plan/budget and recurring forecasts and provide a basis for sound financial decision-making through quantitative financial analyses. The Financial Analyst will work closely with business unit personnel and other Financial Analysts in performing these functions.

• Analyze detailed general ledger transactions and prepare monthly accruals, re-accruals and re-classes.
• Prepare various monthly and other financial reports comparing current year actuals, forecast, budget and future year budget.
• Analyze monthly financial results for revenues and key volume indicators, business and technology expenses, cash flows and headcount for actuals versus forecast and budget.
• Prepare variance explanations for actuals versus forecast and budget.
• Attend review meetings of monthly financial reports with business lines.
• Assist business in developing revenues and baseline costs including headcount and capital resources for the budget and forecast using run rates and business drivers that affect baseline spending patterns.
