We’re hiring Developers across multiple 1Password Tech teams:

Infrastructure Foundations: We are looking for a developer to be part of the Infrastructure Foundations team. You will be responsible for working with the team to solve the problems around making it as easy as possible for our product delivery teams to spin up new services quickly, without Terraform, Helm, and other complexities getting in their way. We're looking for someone who is excited and passionate about infrastructure. Your contributions will be felt throughout the company and across every product, helping us move faster together.

For this role you can be located within the US or Canada and will be expected to be fully remote.

Billing and Payments: The Billing and Payments team is a vital component of 1Password, responsible for managing and optimizing financial transactions with our customers. Our team ensures that all customer invoices are accurately generated and timely delivered. We handle a wide array of tasks, from processing payments and enabling new subscription types to resolving billing discrepancies and providing customer support. Billing and Payments efforts are crucial in maintaining financial stability and fostering customer trust.

Stateful Systems: The team is responsible for the non-ephemeral back-end systems that run 1password, including databases (Mysql Aurora), caches (Elasticache Redis), queueing/streaming (ActiveMQ, Kafka) and search (OpenSearch). We're looking for a developer who's familiar with back-end systems and likes to work on complex problems that will be adopted across the company. We're passionate about automating our infrastructure management, providing visibility into our systems, and scaling 1password for the hyper growth ahead.

What we're looking for:

• You have 2+ years of experience in software development
• A drive for and proven experience in software development best practices, and coding standards
• You enjoy solving moderately complex problems with a demonstrated ability to tackle problems and propose effective solutions
• You like communicating and collaborating and can demonstrate experience in working effectively with team and communicating technical concepts to non-technical cross-functional partners
• You’re passionate about testing methodologies and debugging techniques to ensure high-quality code

What you can expect:

• Code, test, debug, deliver and maintain production software systems for new and existing product features
• Collaborate with cross functional teams and/or stakeholders throughout the development cycle to ensure smooth releases
• Work with your teammates and project manager to communicate technical requirements to stakeholders and solve technical problems in a scalable and realistic way
• Mentor junior and new team members by helping them understand team expectations, providing technical guidance, sharing knowledge, and engaging in pair programming sessions
• Participate in planning by identifying major tasks and breaking down, estimating, and planning work
• Write comprehensive tests during various stages of the development cycle, ensuring code is functioning as expected
• Review code for others to maintain high code quality, knowledge share within the team, and support creating a safe environment of giving and receiving feedback
• Generate and review documentation on code processes to ensure scalability
• Stay informed about the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices in development
• Be available for on-call rotational work to ensure uninterrupted support and resolve emergencies

USA-based roles only: The Annual base salary for this role is between $121,000 USD and $163,000 USD, plus immediate participation in 1Password's benefits program (health, dental, 401k and many others), utilization of our generous paid time off, an equity grant and, where applicable, participation in our incentive programs.

Canada-based roles only: The Annual base salary for this role is between $109,000 CAD and $147,000 CAD, plus immediate participation in 1Password’s generous benefits program (health, dental, RRSP and many others), utilization of our generous paid time off, an equity grant and, where applicable, participation in our incentive programs.
