The job in a nutshell

We are looking for a driven and strategic Director of Regional Sales to lead and inspire our sales team across a designated geographical area. This role is crucial in developing and implementing sales strategies, managing team performance, and driving overall business growth. The Director of Regional Sales will collaborate with various departments to streamline communication, optimize sales strategies, and ensure the team has the resources needed to meet and exceed their targets.

You’ll spend time on the following

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies to drive growth in the assigned region, aligning with the company's overall business objectives.

  • Team Management: Lead, mentor, and manage a team of sales professionals, fostering a high-performance culture and ensuring the team is motivated and equipped to meet their targets.

  • Sales Training and Development: Design and implement training programs for the sales team, focusing on onboarding, product knowledge, sales techniques, and industry insights.

  • Sales Tools and Resources: Develop and maintain a library of sales enablement tools, resources, and materials, such as playbooks, templates, and case studies, to support the sales process.

  • Market Analysis: Monitor and analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to identify new business opportunities and areas for improvement.

  • Performance Metrics: Monitor and analyze key performance metrics, identify areas for improvement, and implement data-driven strategies to enhance sales productivity.

  • Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Act as a liaison between sales, marketing, and product teams to ensure clear and consistent communication, fostering a cohesive strategy across the organization.

  • Sales Technologies: Evaluate and implement sales enablement technologies and platforms to streamline workflows, improve efficiency, and provide the sales team with the best tools available.

  • Ongoing Support: Offer continuous support and coaching to the sales team, addressing any challenges they face and providing solutions to improve their performance.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing challenges.

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and improvement.
  • Thrives in a dynamic environment with a continuous improvement mindset
  • Takes initiative and is self-driven to achieve personal and company goals without needing constant supervision
  • Outstanding communication skills (written and verbal), capable of presenting to diverse audiences
  • Know your way around excel or equivalent

We typically expect candidates with at least 7-10 years of experience in sales management, sales operations, or similar positions to have the skills mentioned above.
