The role:
We are excited to be on the hunt for a talented and motivated individual to join our team as our new Head of Player Engagement
We are seeking a strategic Head of Player Engagement for MBG Digital. The ideal candidate will develop and implement player engagement strategies to enhance retention and lifetime value. They will excel in real-time, triggered, and automated communications, leveraging data analytics for personalized messaging, and driving gamification and loyalty initiatives. Strong leadership, cross-functional collaboration, and creativity are essential. Proficiency in marketing automation, data analytics, CRM systems, and technical integration is required.
Responsibilities:

Develop and implment comprehensive player engagement strategies to enhance player retention and lifetime value.

Identify key player segments and tailor engagement strategies accordingly.

Design, set up, and optimise real-time, triggered, and automated communication workflows to engage players at all stages of their journey, focussing on delivering a 1 to 1 experience.

Leverage data analytics to personalise messages and offers, ensuring relevance and timeliness for each player.

Monitor and analyse the performance of communication campaigns, making data-driven adjustments as needed.

Develop and manage gamification initiatives, including missions, challenges, and leaderboards to boost player engagement.

Design and implement loyalty and rewards programs that incentivise community engagement, frequent play and higher deposit / wagering.

Oversee play-to-earn programs that provide players with tangible rewards for their continued engagement.

Track and analyse KPIs related to player engagement, such as session time, play frequency, mission completion rates, average deposit value, NGR, and cross-sell performance.

Continuously optimise engagement strategies based on performance data & industry trends.

Collaborate with Monetisation Business Partners to gain insights and refine targeting and personalisation efforts.

Work closely with acquisition, campaign management, social, community, brand, monetisation, BI, and product to ensure seamless implementation of engagement strategies.

Collaborate with casino and sportsbook managers to drive cross-sell opportunities and enhance the overall player experience.

Lead a team of Engagement Producers, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance management.

Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and excellence within the team.

Experience with Marketing Automation Platforms: Proficiency in using marketing automation tools to design, implement, and optimise real-time, triggered, and automated communication workflows.

Data Analytics and Personalization: Strong ability to analyse player data using tools like Google Analytics, Tableau, or Power BI to derive insights and personalise engagement strategies. Knowledge of SQL for querying databases is a plus.

CRM Systems Proficiency: Extensive experience with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems, understanding how to segment players, track player interactions, and optimise communication based on player behavior and preferences.

Gamification Tools and Techniques: Expertise in utilising gamification platforms and techniques to design engaging player missions, challenges, and loyalty programs. Familiarity with integrating these systems into the overall player engagement strategy.

Technical Integration Skills: Ability to work closely with development teams to ensure seamless integration of engagement tools with the casinoโs website and other systems. Knowledge of APIs, webhooks, and other integration methods is essential.
Requirements:
- Extensive Player Engagement Strategy Development: Proven track record in developing and executing successful player engagement strategies within the online casino or gaming industry, focusing on retention and increasing player lifetime value.
- Proficiency in Real-Time and Automated Communications: Significant experience in setting up, managing, and optimising real-time, triggered, and automated communication workflows that enhance player interactions and drive engagement.
- Strong Background in Gamification: Demonstrated expertise in creating and managing gamification initiatives such as missions, challenges, loyalty programs, and play-to-earn schemes that motivate and retain players.
- Data-Driven Decision Making: Hands-on experience with data analytics to track and interpret KPIs, enabling data-driven adjustments and optimisations to engagement strategies.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Experience working collaboratively with acquisition, brand, BI, monetisation, product, and tech teams to ensure the successful implementation of engagement initiatives and seamless integration with the casino's website and systems.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions to optimise player engagement.
- Creativity to develop engaging and innovative gamification and loyalty programs, along with the ability to think outside the box to enhance player experiences. MBG does not want to do what everyone else does.
- Excellent leadership qualities to guide and mentor a team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and high performance.
