Location & Remote Work

Our technology team works on the "remote-first" model, which means we are working from home with the possibility of living anywhere in Brazil. We also have the option of using QuintoAndar's offices in São Paulo and Campinas or using partner coworking spaces, both up to twice a week.

About the area and responsibilities

As a Security Engineer, you will play a main role in enhancing our cybersecurity posture and IR process. You will be responsible for developing and to improve solutions that will help do this job. This role requires a very good expertise in Cloud Environments, SIEM, incident hunting and developing skills, being able to work along with other teams to achieve that. It is a must to know programming languages and secure architectures.

Key Responsibilities

1. As a Senior Cybersecurity Engineer, you will be focused on enhancing our platform's capability to protect, detect, validate, mitigate, contain and respond to an information security incident and cyber intrusion.
2. To implement automations to test our environment security
3. Knowing how to strategize attacks is key to enhancing our defenses and developing efficient detection methods;
4. Will have to establish and enforce best security practices, leading complex troubleshooting, showcasing your technical leadership in engineering.
5. You'll use your strong cybersecurity knowledge to help other team members and company to troubleshoot complex security cases;
6. You will help our engineers to help to make our tasks more efficient through automation, including but not limited to, threat detection, incident response, and security reports generation.
7. You'll analyze and improve security across cloud infrastructure and applications, detect, contain and respond to threats, and implement security features;

Requirements

• Solid experience (+7 years) in cyber security architecture, designing and building secure solutions
• Good knowledge of developing ways to test and improve security detections and solutions;
• Proficiency in programming languages;
• Expertise in Pentesting;
• Excellent problem-solving skills and strategic mindset for cybersecurity planning;
• Effective communication in English and Portuguese to engage with technical and non-technical stakeholders in promoting cybersecurity initiatives;
• Experience in conducting penetration testing and war games in corporate environments;
• Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001).
