About this team

The Accounting Team at Super.com is dedicated to maintaining the integrity of General Ledger, reporting applications, and related data warehouse tables while providing accurate and timely financial reports and analyses. The team consists of experienced professionals who support the company's short and long-term objectives through their accounting expertise.

About this role

We're seeking a dedicated Corporate Accountant for a 12-month term to cover a team member on maternity leave. As a Corporate Accountant, you will support the Senior Accounting Manager in monitoring and maintaining our financial reporting processes. You will bring strong Excel skills, Data Analytics / SQL skills, and a strong foundation in Finance & Accounting to the team, and will work on high-impact projects around month-end closes, deep dives into accounting subject matters and assist in year-end audit activities, ensuring accurate financial reporting. Whether you are someone who thrives on following tried and true processes or you are someone who loves to re-imagine/ build accounting processes and is also interested in leveraging automation to make processes more efficient, you’ll find this role meaningful.

Responsibilities

  • Perform reconciliations of bank accounts, credit cards, and other general ledger balances to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data.
  • Complete assigned month-end tasks including, but not limited to: revenue reconciliations, expense accruals, payroll reconciliations, and posting of general journal entries.
  • Collaborate closely with other teams to gather necessary financial data and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Work with the FP&A team to assist in analyzing financial results and performance.
  • Assist in the preparation of documentation for external audits and provide necessary support during audit processes.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements within the finance and accounting functions to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Participate in cross-functional projects aimed at streamlining financial processes and systems.

About you

  • 3+ years of experience in a Finance or Accounting role, with a focus on accounting and financial reporting, including experience with either US GAAP or IFRS accounting standards.
  • Robust analytical, problem-solving, and process-improvement skills, coupled with proficiency in Excel, including large data set manipulation.
  • Strong attention to detail and can be relied upon to provide thorough, well-reasoned and accurate results.
  • Able to work with a high degree of self-direction, along with the capability to thrive in a fast-moving environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to demonstrate teamwork skills in a growing team.

Bonus points!

  • Experience working with ERP accounting software. Netsuite experience is a plus.
  • Experience with BI tools such as Periscope, Looker and Tableau is preferred, with working knowledge of SQL.
  • Experience in the Travel industry
  • Experience in the Fintech product industry
