About the job
We are looking for a proactive enthusiast who drives our data infrastructure and shares our overall vision of “creating a better everyday life for the many people”. As a Data Engineer, you take on regional responsibilities, striving to deliver high quality data products focusing on the following key responsibilities.
Your assignment
- Building and maintaining required infrastructure for optimal extraction, transformation, loading and serving of data from various data sources.
- Monitor production pipelines to ensure data availability and data accuracy targets are met.
- Collaborate with the Data Development Manager to ensure our data architecture/infrastructure is scalable, fits the needs of our users, while improving load time and cost efficiency on a regular basis.
- Work with stakeholders including data/analytics, design/development, product and executive teams and support and assist them with their data infrastructure needs and data related technical issues.
- Document our data infrastructure, orchestration principles, coding standards and CICD pipeline(s).
- Support CICD pipeline(s), as well as data solution code repository and code migration processes.
- Collaborate and coordinate within our data and digital teams, business stakeholders, partners, and external vendors developing excellent data solutions and building long-term beneficial relationships.
- Be a part of a dynamic data team. Together we are putting data into co-workers’ hands and establish a data informed decision mindset.
Requirements
Your profile
- At least two years’ experience in in maintaining large scale data solutions.
- Expert knowledge in SQL, data modelling concepts, analytics and implementation methods.
- Strong knowledge in cloud computing platforms (preferably Azure) and data related components (Azure Data Factory, Databricks and PySpark, Azure Synapse, dbt).
- Able to document pipelines, data models and processes in a structured and comprehensible manner.
- You are curious, meticulous, flexible with a positive attitude and equipped with strong problem solving and communication skills.
- Excellent analytical and planning skills, with a drive for results and optimization.
- A passion to share knowledge and expertise, levelling up fellow junior team members.
- High proficiency in English, both written and verbal.
