POSITION SUMMARY:

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Homologation Specialist to bring a breadth of legislative knowledge and application to our Business. The successful candidate will ensure our vehicles comply with all applicable legislative requirements, working closely with government authorities and internal teams to certify and maintain our product standards. This role offers the opportunity to lead a dedicated team in ensuring our vehicles meet the highest standards of safety and compliance. You will work in a dynamic and supportive environment, contributing to the success and innovation of our products.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Manage homologation for defined platforms/territories, ensuring certification, maintenance, and conformity of production.
  • Review legislative requirements and provide impact analysis, guidance, and interpretation.
  • Compile and submit compliance evidence for overseas markets.
  • Evaluate Conformity of Production safeguards and raise concerns as necessary.
  • Engage in tender reviews, specification reviews, and design compliance reviews.
  • Develop knowledge and capabilities of the Homologation team through training and support.
  • Liaise with Type Approval authorities and represent ADL in legislation forums.
  • Manage assigned projects, including internal staff and external resources, time, and cost analysis.
  • Obtain data for documentation through liaison with Engineering and appropriate systems.
  • Stay updated on legislative interpretations and homologation strategies.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:

  • Degree level in an Engineering discipline is preferred, however experience in an applicable Engineering or Legislative field with HNC or equivalent will be considered.
  • Competent understanding of UK, European and/or Federal homologation procedures.
  • Experience of Type Approval process essential.
  • Experience of close-working with Type Approval Authorities desirable.
  • ·Able to work under own initiative.
  • Able to assimilate new and complex information.
  • Able to communicate interpretations of text to others at a number of different levels (both written and verbal).
  • Good knowledge of body and chassis systems.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in vehicle Homologation.
  • Logical and analytical reading and thinking, plus a good attention to detail.
  • Computer literate (Microsoft 365 essential).
  • Valid UK driving license essential.
  • Valid Passport preferred.
  • Able to travel, as some Homologation activity requires overnight stays both in the UK and aboard, with possible extended travel or secondment if desirable
