Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

• Manage and execute price adjustment refund requests for our users, even in cases where the user may not be fully entitled to a refund.
• Persuasively communicate with customer service representatives, often needing to escalate issues to managers to achieve successful outcomes.
• Represent users as a personal assistant, conveying the importance and urgency of refund requests.
• Employ a bank of arguments to overcome common objections from customer service, emphasizing user loyalty, the impact of the refund, and the potential for long-term business.
• Strive to secure refunds in any form, prioritizing gift card refunds when cash refunds are not possible. The last resort is a discount.
• Maintain detailed logs of all refund requests and their outcomes.
• Ethics — our specialist will be handling user data and hence needs to be secure about it when not chatting to customer service.

Requirements

• Proficiency in Excel and dashboard management.
• Experience with making and handling phone calls to customer service.
• Ability to read and interpret receipts accurately.
• Strong web navigation skills and familiarity with retailer websites.
• Ability to look up and compare prices for various items.
• At least 1 year of experience in a similar role, demonstrating a strong instinct for negotiation and customer service.
