Role Overview:

Join our innovative and dynamic team in Malta as a Finance and BI Business Partner and play a vital role in supporting our business leaders' financial goals and objectives. Collaborate closely with the Head of Group Finance and Head of BI to provide accurate financial data, insight, and impactful decision-making analysis. This role will be pivotal in bridging our Finance and BI departments, driving key insights and enhancing decision-making at the executive level. This role involves a balanced 50:50 split between BI and Finance responsibilities. As a valued member of our team, you'll contribute to shaping the financial outcomes of our organization across all divisions. Your contributions will extend to automated processes, integration initiatives, and fostering a robust business partner culture.

Key Responsibilities:

• Business Partnership: Collaborate with business leaders to drive value and performance across departments.
• Financial Reporting: Assist in preparing and analyzing monthly financial reports and forecasts.
• Budgeting & Forecasting: Held drive the annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes, providing actionable insights.
• Financial Analysis: Conduct monthly variance analysis as part of financial close, providing valuable insights for reviews. Tell us what happened – and help the business drive the right actions to continuously improve.
• Performance Measurement: Gather departmental KPI reporting for comprehensive analysis
• Data Analysis: Identify patterns and deliver insights using Tableau, Power BI, and other BI tools.
• Presentation & Communication: Collaborate and develop presentation materials for weekly and monthly reviews, clearly translating BI data into business language.
• Process Improvement: Drive automation and integration initiatives to enhance financial processes.
• Stakeholder Management: Build strong relationships with stakeholders to ensure alignment and collaboration.
• Operational Support: Offer support in banking and treasury functions
• Ad Hoc Projects: Support various projects as needed, offering financial and BI expertise.

Qualifications:

We are seeking an enthusiastic and self-driven individual who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. You should possess:

• A minimum of 3/4 years post-graduate experience in Financial Planning and Analysis, preferably within the iGaming industry.
• A degree in Economics, Accounting, Mathematical Statistics, Analysis, or a related field (B.A. or B.Sc.).
• Advanced proficiency in Excel.
• Strong communicator, proficiency in English.
• Experience with cloud-based accounting systems, e.g. Xero
• Experience with online data extraction tools, e.g. G-Accon
• Experience with data visualization and BI tools, e.g. Tableau, Lookers Studio, SQL
• Strong commercial acumen and the ability to quickly grasp complex business models.
• Keen attention to detail when reviewing extensive datasets.
• Specific experience in compiling, drafting, and communicating forecasts and budgets.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
• Ability to build enduring relationships and collaborate effectively with business teams.

Skills:

• Profound knowledge of accounting principles, encompassing financial statements like balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.

• Proficiency in data analysis, including accurate collection, cleaning, and interpretation of financial data.

• Effective communication skills for interactions with the Head of Commercial Finance and other financial colleagues.

• Meticulous attention to detail to ensure correctness, completeness, and compliance in financial reporting, identifying investigative areas as necessary.
