Station Broadcast Engineer

The E.W. Scripps Company is hiring for a Station Broadcast Engineer. They will be responsible for the day-to-day technical operations and administration of a station. Responsible for monitoring, controlling and reporting the operability of the station’s central cast rack and transmitter operations as well as have the opportunity to work closely the broadcast team in the maintenance of the studio, transmitter, and distribution delivery equipment

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

• Monitor, control and report to the operability of station’s central cast rack and transmitter operations
• Monitor and report station outages
• Work with team in daily operation of studio, transmitter, and distribution delivery
• Troubleshoot television transmitter and facility issues
• Maintain systems responsible for supporting the on-air operation, such as HVAC, networking, electrical, and mechanical
• Partner with legal and corporate in the maintenance of the station public file in accordance with FCC requirements. Track and confirm FCC online station files
• 24/7 on-call availability to ensure continuous operation of the station
• Liaise with all cable, DBS, and Telco operators within market
