About this role

Are you passionate about servicing clients and exceeding their expectations? In this position you will be able to put all your skills to work and help in developing existing relationships and growing the client book of business in Italy.

The Wealth Sales team manages the relationships and drives flows with banks, Financial Advisory Networks, B2C brokers, wealth platforms and advisors across Discretionary Portfolio Management, Advisory and Execution Only.

Key responsibilities

The position will be based in Milan as part of the Network Sales Team Italy.

The focus will be on delivering our products (Index/ETF, active funds, Alternatives) as well as solutions and Services (Model portfolios, Portfolio construction) to Wealth Management clients, predominantly large Retail Banks, Private Banks and Financial Advisors Networks.

The candidate will work in close partnership with our internal and global partner groups to service our clients and help them build better portfolios. In addition, the candidate will contribute to developing a clear strategy for his/her clients in order to develop and identify new business opportunities.

  • Maintain and develop deep relationships with Wealth Management Clients, including the advisory units with the goal to drive buy list penetration and flows in ETFs, active mutual funds and liquid/illiquid alternatives
  • Execute product campaigns via product education sessions for advisory units of Banks, FAs Networks and Private Banks.
  • Participation in and organization of client events, presentations, educational sessions as speaker and further development of such formats
  • Offer additional services to clients like technology, our capital market views, support when it comes to portfolio construction or help clients within their business model transformation
  • Setting a clear strategy for clients, in line with the country strategy and the Wealth strategy for Italy
  • Responsibility to ensure that all regulatory & legal requirements and standards are met personally and within the team
  • Act as a reference point and coordinate the internal BlackRock functions such as Marketing, Portfolio Analysis and Solutions, Alternative Solutions and Sales Support to deliver the highest service level to BlackRock clients.

Experience & Knowledge:

  • Proven excellence in a relationship management role, ideally demonstrated by 3+ years of experience in a financial services sales’ role in a relevant segment.
  • Thorough knowledge of the local Private Banking and Wealth market.
  • Deep understanding of the sales process, prospecting, objection handling, closing and long-term relationship management.
  • Understanding of product set ETFs, active fund products and illiquid alternative solutions.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree (Master’s degree preferred) in Business Administration, Economics, Finance or an equal professional experience.
  • Good research and data management skills.
  • Extensive experience in MS Office suite including Word, Excel, Power Point
  • Fluent in Italian and English.
  • CFA or CAIA would be of advantage but not prerequisite.

  • Ability to manage complex, interdepartmental projects in a professional, inclusive, deadline-driven way.
