What will you do?

• Monitoring and Vetting Content: Regularly review and assess content across various platforms to ensure adherence to quality standards and regulatory guidelines. Collaborate with team members to monitor and vet content, including fiction, non-fiction, commercials, and movies
• Compliance: Maintain awareness of and ensure compliance with all applicable codes and laws governing content
• Regulatory Framework in India: Possess a basic understanding of the regulatory framework in India and demonstrate knowledge of practical applications of guides, codes, and laws related to content
• "Non-OK" Content: Identify content that does not meet standards and recommend necessary changes, including scripting alterations, visual adjustments, or edits
• Implementation of Changes and Risk Mitigation: Ensure that suggested changes are implemented effectively and proactively mitigate risks associated with non-compliant content for the broadcaster/publisher

Who should apply for this role?

• Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Media Studies, Communications, Law, or related discipline. Previous experience in content monitoring, compliance, or a similar role within the media industry is preferred.
• Personal Characteristics / Behaviors: Ability to collaborate effectively with team members and other stakeholders. Proactive attitude towards identifying issues and implementing solutions promptly. Capacity to perform effectively in high-pressure situations and meet tight deadlines. Strong attention to detail and a genuine interest in consuming various types and genres of content.
• Special Skills: Understanding of broadcasting regulations, programming codes, and legal requirements related to content. Ability to make informed decisions and effectively communicate them with clarity and conviction. Understanding of the broader social, religious, and political context in which content is created and consumed.
