Windows 11 Update Project Manager

Description:

We are currently seeking a Project Manager for an exciting 12-month contract opportunity with one of our clients. As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for leading the Windows 11 update project, ensuring a successful and smooth transition for our client's systems and users.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute a comprehensive project plan for the Windows 11 update, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, operations, and end-users, to gather requirements and define project scope.
• Manage project risks, issues, and dependencies, and develop mitigation strategies.
• Lead and coordinate project team members, assigning tasks and ensuring timely delivery of project deliverables.
• Monitor project progress, track milestones, and provide regular status updates to stakeholders.
• Facilitate communication and collaboration between project teams and stakeholders to ensure alignment and successful project delivery.
• Manage project budget, track expenditures, and ensure financial control.
• Ensure quality assurance and testing activities are conducted to meet technical and business requirements.
• Plan and execute a smooth deployment of the Windows 11 update, minimizing disruption to business operations.
• Conduct project closure activities, including final reporting, documentation, and lessons learned.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Project Manager, specifically managing IT projects and system upgrades.
• Experience with Windows 11 or similar operating system updates is highly desirable.
• Strong project management skills, including the ability to develop and execute project plans, manage risks, and deliver projects on time and within budget.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate and influence across teams and levels of the organization.
• Knowledge of quality assurance and testing practices to ensure successful project outcomes.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and effectively prioritize tasks and resources.
• PMP certification or equivalent is a plus.
