Director, Influencer Marketing

Reporting to: Senior Director, Brand Marketing

Location: New York, NY

Our members can earn points and access exclusive benefits on rent payments, condo & co-op fees, and around their neighborhood at local restaurants, fitness studios, rideshare, and more. Ranked the highest-value point currency by top publications,Our Points can be transferred 1:1 to major airline and hotel programs, or used towards rent payments, shopping, fitness, and even a down payment on a home. Members also get access to credit-building benefits, member-only experiences, and an Elite Status program.

In partnership with the top multifamily owners & operators across the country, we’ve also created the Rewards Alliance, a network of 4M+ apartments and homes across the country. Residents who live in the Rewards Alliance make payments directly through the Payment Center and get access to benefits including additional earn opportunities on new leases, renewals, and more.

While our Members can use any debit or credit card to earn points and access their benefits, we've partnered with Mastercard and Wells Fargo to create the Mastercard® - the first and only credit card that lets you pay rent and earn points without the transaction fee.

What’s the role?

We are looking for a seasoned marketing and influencer-focused Director of Influencer Marketing to join our New York-based brand team.

Reporting to the Senior Director of Brand Marketing, the Director of Influencer Marketing will be responsible for bringing the brand to life across key campaigns and channels to drive awareness and education of our Rewards. This will include managing the strategy and execution of our influencer program and supporting across additional brand initiatives including Rent Day, new brand partnerships and collaborations, and more. You’ll work closely with marketing functions including product, growth, experiences, content, creative, engineering, and data to reach both prospects and members with strategic messaging that builds the brand.

As the primary owner of the influencer program, you’ll build relationships with relevant influencers, creators and tastemakers to drive scaled and ongoing brand awareness and our key messages. You’ll be tasked with curating, contracting, briefing, and measurement, and help drive the overall positioning of the program, including the benefits and touch points that influencers are given and the tactics to keep them highly engaged. You’ll also craft the strategy around how they plug into larger brand campaigns, moments and announcements to amplify key messages.

In addition to managing the always-on influencer program, you’ll support the Brand pod across key initiatives like Rent Day and additional brand partnerships, including talent and brand collaborations.

In this role, you will…

  • Manage the influencer program and be the central point of contact across the Brand pod to ensure that influencers are being strategically integrated across all brand touchpoints.
  • Leverage tools like Sprinklr, CreatorIQ and native platforms to track the success of individual influencers, pieces of content, and the program as a whole to set KPIs, develop content best practices and inform the evolution of the program.
  • Determine and evolve the criteria and qualifications for which influencers get invited to the program.
  • Work closely with growth and content teams leverage influencers in organic and paid social marketing for our owned channels.
  • Develop deep relationships and robust deals with top performing influencers to create long-term partnerships that transcend social.
  • Be a critical player in creating impactful brand moments surrounding Rent Day, new partner launches, new feature launches, and other key moments for the brand.
  • Support in the development of partnerships that transcend influencers, including celebrity talent, brand partners and media entities.

In terms of qualifications, we’re seeking:

  • A Bachelor’s degree is required.
  • You have 5+ years of experience in brand management, preferably with hands-on experience building and growing effective influencer programs.
  • A strong understanding of social platforms, content types, and associated performance metrics.
  • You should have a passion and finger on the pulse as it relates to the ever-changing landscape of content and influencer trends, with a keen eye for how we should leverage these trends.
  • You are highly emotionally intelligent with strong interpersonal skills.
  • You have an ownership mentality with a bias for action & thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • You’re a collaborator and strong cross-functional team player with a proven track record of gaining alignment and influence quickly with a diverse group of stakeholders. You can navigate conversations between brand marketers and omnichannel leadership.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills.

In addition to posting salary ranges for our open roles, candidates should expect to be asked about compensation expectations and requirements early on in their interview process. Our goal is to highlight when expectations and salary range may be out of sync, and work with the candidate to determine whether it makes sense to continue conversations.

We are considering candidates with differing levels of expertise for this position. Leveling will be based upon your experience and performance in the interview process.

Where a new hire falls within a range will be based on their individual skills and experience, and how these competencies compare across other employees in the same role. Our bands are designed to allow for individual compensation growth within the role. As such, new hires typically start at the lower end of the range. We reward performance and outcomes - should you join the company, you will have the opportunity to grow your salary over time.

The salary range for a Director, Influence Marketing is $125,000 - 140,000 and will be eligible for equity and an annual performance-based bonus.
