Solutions Engineer

At Trunk Tools, we are tackling the massive $13 trillion+ construction industry. We’re an exceptional team of serial entrepreneurs, brought together by our shared mission: automating construction. Our founding team (SpaceX, Stanford, MIT, Carta, etc.) has successfully built and deployed software in construction for 140k+ users, millions of users beyond the construction space, and worked on +$2 billion of built-environment projects. We aren’t another out-of-touch tech startup, most of our team comes from construction.

We spent the last few years building the brain behind construction. Now we are deploying workflows/ agents, starting with Q&A document chatbot, to be ingrained in construction teams’ workflows, ultimately to automate construction. Given our immense traction with several Fortune 500 construction companies, we are doubling our team in order to deploy several more agents this year. You will have an opportunity to drive the transformation of a multi-trillion-dollar industry full of waste, risks and inefficiencies.

What you will do and achieve:

• Collaborate closely with our sales, product, and engineering teams to design and implement technical solutions that meet the unique needs of our construction clients.
• Serve as a technical expert in construction technology, providing in-depth knowledge and insights to both internal teams and external customers.
• Troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues that arise during the sales process maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
• Develop and deliver product demonstrations, technical presentations, and workshops to showcase our solutions to potential and existing customers.
• Work with product management to identify customer needs and influence the product roadmap based on feedback from the field.
• Continuously stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in construction and related fields to ensure our solutions remain cutting-edge.

Who you are:

• You have 5+ years of experience in a solutions engineering or similar technical role, with a strong focus on construction technology.
• You possess deep technical knowledge in areas such as construction management software, BIM (Building Information Modeling), IoT for construction, or other relevant technologies.
• You are a strong communicator, able to clearly articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• You have a proven track record of working closely with sales teams to drive business growth and customer success.
• You are customer-focused, with a passion for solving problems and delivering exceptional service.
• You thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, and are able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• You are proactive, self-motivated, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• You have a bachelor’s degree in a related field, such as engineering, computer science, or construction management. Advanced degrees or certifications are a plus.
