Payroll Specialist

Areas of responsibility:

  • Payroll management: Responsible for the entire payroll process, including collection, control and processing of payroll documents.
  • Agda usage: Using Agda as the primary payroll system to process payroll, manage absence reporting, and generate the necessary reports.
  • Legislation and regulations: Ensure that payroll processing complies with applicable labor laws, tax regulations and collective agreements.
  • Reporting: Create and analyze payroll reports, statistics, and other relevant documents for management and the finance department.
  • Reconciliations: Carry out ongoing reconciliations of bookkeeping and salary payments.
  • Support and advice: Provide support to employees and managers in salary-related matters as well as advice on salary processes and routines.
  • Continuous improvements: Identify areas of improvement in the payroll process and propose measures for efficiency.

Education and experience:

  • Education: Relevant education in payroll administration, HR or finance.
  • Experience: At least 3-5 years of experience working as a payroll specialist or in a similar role.
  • Agda: Experience of working with the payroll system Agda is an absolute requirement.

Skills and Competences:

  • Detail-oriented: Ability to work carefully and structured with large amounts of data.
  • System competence: Good knowledge of Agda and experience of working with other payroll systems or HR systems are meritorious.
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze payroll related data and generate insightful reports.
  • Communication skills: Strong oral and written communication skills in Swedish and English.
  • Problem solving: Ability to identify and solve problems in the payroll process in an efficient manner.
  • Knowledge of laws: In-depth knowledge of labor law, tax regulations, collective agreements and other relevant regulations.

  • Accuracy: High precision in work and a strong sense of detail.
  • Taking responsibility: Independent and responsible, with the ability to take own initiative and drive the payroll process forward.
  • Team player: Good cooperation skills and the ability to work in a team, while also being able to work independently.
  • Flexibility: Ability to adapt to changing conditions and handle several tasks at the same time.

Meritorious qualifications:

  • Experience of working with payroll systems other than Agda.
  • Experience of payroll management in the manufacturing industry or service sector.
  • Experience of managing salaries in an international context.
  • Experience of working with GDPR in the payroll process.
  • The role is located in Karlskrona with the possibility of some flexibility for remote work.
