JOB TITLE: Inventory Planner

JOB SUMMARY: Maintain appropriate inventory levels for all skus by monitoring rate of sale, program sales and projections, and through interaction with management, marketing and sales.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Review daily bookings reports to replenish inventory and look for sales patterns
• Request non-cancelable documents for large orders.
• Review all resources weekly to replenish inventory or adjust stock levels
• Interaction with sales force, provide pattern and sku longevity for new and existing programs
• Obsolescence Planning – review entire product line and provide Marketing and Design with suggestions for obsolescence based on sales, inventory, and resource performance.
• Entering purchase orders and providing Resource Management with priorities
• Review obsolete inventory to determine which are suitable for closeout
• Review daily cancellation reports; review cause of cancellation and make sure appropriate action is being taken to save order or adjust inventory accordingly
• Review claim requests, approve returns outside standard return parameters.

MAGNITUDE AND RELATIONSHIP REPORTING:

This position reports to the Manager of Merchandising.

CONTACTS INSIDE AND OUTSIDE THE ORGANIZATION:

This position typically has contact with most employees at all levels of the organization.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

• Organized and able to multi task
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
• Working knowledge of MS Office including outlook, excel and word
• Exceptional attention for detail

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• A bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred

Merchandising experience preferred.
