Position Description:
The Event and Conference Services team in the Department of Delphi Center for Teaching and Learning at the University of Louisville is seeking an Intermittent Temporary Event Setup Assistant to provide operational support to the Events and Catering Coordinator by assisting with room setups.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Complete room setups including moving/arranging tables and chairs and setting easels, flipcharts, power cords, etc.
- Transport trash to dumpster, wipe tables, vacuum and sweep floors, and complete other cleaning duties to ensure rooms are event-ready
- Immediately notify other team members of questions or problems and assist to resolve them accordingly
- Greet clients, event attendees, and patrons in passing and answer general directional questions, i.e., restroom, elevator, stairs, and room locations
