Product Management & Business Operations Lead

We are an early-stage, venture-backed fintech that focuses on bringing affordable credit and financial services to small, informal business owners (micro-PYMEs) across LatAm - starting with Mexico.

We launched last year with a unique group-focused installment loan product, and now have expanded to launch a unique credit card.

We are the world’s first credit card to include a group lending feature, and the first credit card in Mexico focused on lending to the mainstream market of informal small business entrepreneurs, which comprise 90% of all businesses in the country.

We are backed by top venture investors across the US and Mexico, and our co-founding team has spent their careers working in fintech and entrepreneurship.

This role will include a competitive salary, bonus, and equity compensation.

Requirements

We are looking for a hard-working and highly entrepreneurial person to lead our product management and business operations work. You will be our first dedicated product and business operations hire and a critical part of our leadership team.

Your product management responsibilities will be to:

• Lead major parts of product management – especially pertaining to activation / onboarding, including writing user stories, roadmaps, and working with engineers
• You should be adept in writing user stories and engaging with technical engineering teams
• Communicate performance to stakeholders
• Be an integral part of the leadership team and shape strategy and operations approach

Your business operations responsibilities will vary over time, and will be focused on special projects across the most important parts of our business, including:

• Risk management/screening, collections, customer service, and core customer operations
• It also involves ensuring our company runs smoothly across all major areas of operations
• Conduct financial analysis and reporting across loan cohorts, track KPIs, and conduct other financial analysis to support the business -- especially focused on unit profitability

Our ideal candidate:

• Highly fluent in business English & Spanish
• A stellar track record across least 5 years of product management and business operations experience
• Ideally experience in mocking up and coding landing pages directly
• Strong preference for previous experience working in fintech particularly with bottom-of-the-pyramid customers
• Previous work experience at a startup or other fast moving, highly entrepreneurial work environment
