Wordpress Developer

We are seeking an experienced Wordpress Developer (f/m/x) with a passion for building engaging, user-friendly websites. As a Wordpress Developer, you will be instrumental in developing and maintaining our performance websites. This is what to expect:

• Cross-functional Teamwork: Work on multiple products in a strong multidisciplinary team of Developers, Designer, Product Manager and Marketing to deliver digital solutions that address real user needs.
• User-Centered Design and Discovery: Participate in product discovery activities, including user research, prototyping, and usability testing, to validate ideas and ensure we’re building the right solutions.
• End-to-End Tech Ownership: Take responsibility for hosting, development, speed optimization, and maintenance to ensure our WordPress websites are fast, scalable, and user-friendly.
• Innovation and Experimentation: Collaborate on experiments and A/B tests to identify opportunities for improvement and innovation in our web products.
• Develop, maintain, and enhance WordPress websites using page builders (e.g. Elementor).
• Collaborate with the growth team to design and implement new features and functionalities.
• Ensure high-performance and availability of websites, and manage all technical aspects of the CMS.
• Ensure responsive design and a seamless user experience across all devices.
• Required Qualifications
  • Proven experience in developing and maintaining WordPress websites.
  • Proficiency in Elementor and its advanced features.
  • Strong understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript.
  • Experience with responsive design principles.
  • Understanding of cross-browser compatibility.
  • Basic understanding of PHP.
  • Experience with MySQL for database management.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Fluent in English, German is a plus
• Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with other page builders and WordPress plugins (e.g. wp-rocket).
  • Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).
  • Basic understanding of Python.
  • Experience with Tracking tools like Matomo and Amplitude.
  • Experience with A/B Testing
  • Experience with automatisation tools like Make or Zapier.
