Analytics Engineer

As an Analytics Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and implementing data models for the data warehouse, using dbt and Google BigQuery, to enhance business intelligence and reporting. This position involves close collaboration with developers and other stakeholders to translate needs into robust data architectures. The role bridges technical teams and business users, facilitating data accessibility and strategic use across the organization. Ideal candidates should have experience building data warehouses, proficiency in dbt and Google BigQuery, and the ability to design effective data architectures that align with business objectives.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Design and implement scalable data models for the data warehouse, using dbt and Google BigQuery to support robust business intelligence and reporting frameworks.
• Act as a central figure in the data team, bridging technical and business users to ensure data structures meet business needs and improve data flow and accessibility across the organization.
• Ensure the integrity and accuracy of data products through rigorous testing and validation processes.
• Support the technical aspects of data pipeline maintenance.

Requirements

• Master’s degree (or equivalent through work experience) in computer science, software/computer engineering, mathematics, physics or other relevant fields
• Industrial experience as an analytics engineer (or similar), 3+ years
• Excellent SQL skills
• Experience in dimensional modeling and data warehousing
• Experience working with Google Big Query/Azure Synapse or similar cloud computing products
• Experience using dbt/Google dataform
• Ability to perform both in a team environment and independently
