Story aims to address these crucial requirements. Our mission is to unleash the creativity of the internet by building the native IP infrastructure layer of the web.

Our open IP repository enables creative IPs — prose, images, audio, and more — to record their evolutionary journey from inception through the endless combinatorics of digital co-creation. Beyond tracking the provenance and attribution of IP as it grows, we also provide modules that power frictionless composability, allowing anyone to contribute to an IP and to capture the value of that contribution.

Just as Git revolutionized the development of open source software by encompassing the networked evolution of code, Story is transforming the development of creative IP.

Our team features deep expertise in media, tech, and business. Founding team members are successful serial entrepreneurs. We are fortunate to have raised a $54m Series A led by a16z.

The Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and bilingual APAC Growth Associate to join our team. If you have deep connections within the APAC ecosystem and are fluent in key regional languages, we'd love to hear from you.

In this role, you will be instrumental in driving brand awareness and leading business development efforts across the APAC region. Your bilingual abilities will be crucial in engaging with diverse communities, attracting innovative teams to the Story platform, and fostering strong partnerships. You will also manage media relations, organize events, and engage with local builders to promote the Story ecosystem.

Your ability to navigate different cultural and linguistic landscapes will be essential as you help shape the future of the Story platform in APAC. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, process-driven, and has a deep understanding of the regional market.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and cultivate innovative projects and partners across the APAC region, leveraging your bilingual skills to explore new use cases enabled by Story.
• Manage and maintain the partnership pipeline in the APAC region, ensuring successful collaboration with the broader team.
• Foster and maintain relationships with ecosystem partners and community members, using your language proficiency to set regular check-ins for alignment.
• Conduct market research and analysis to guide strategy and uncover growth opportunities within APAC, tailoring communications to different linguistic groups.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product, and business development, to ensure cohesive and effective initiatives.
• Build and engage a community of creators, developers, and users across APAC, using your bilingual skills to drive network adoption.
• Create content and narratives that resonate with diverse APAC markets, ensuring language-specific nuances are captured.
• Plan and execute events and meetups to educate and engage the local community, utilizing your language abilities to maximize impact.
• Support the CEO’s strategic partnership efforts in the APAC region, serving as a key liaison for multilingual communications.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience in business development, sales, finance, or venture capital, ideally in blockchain or fintech.
• Bilingual proficiency in one or more languages commonly spoken in the APAC region (e.g., Mandarin, Cantonese, Korean) is essential.
• Strong understanding of blockchain technology, particularly in ecosystem growth or partnerships.
• Experience structuring complex partnerships with multiple stakeholders, utilizing bilingual communication to navigate negotiations.
• Proven problem-solving and analytical abilities, with the capacity to prioritize features and requirements based on customer needs and market trends.
• Exceptional communication skills, with a talent for crafting compelling narratives across different languages.
• Highly organized and process-oriented, capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for APAC-based teams exploring the Story ecosystem, acting as a user and protocol advocate in multiple languages.
