About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Network and System Engineer to join our Global Technology Services (GTS) team in Taipei. This role is critical in ensuring the stability, security, and efficiency of our IT infrastructure across multiple global locations. The Senior Network and System Engineer will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and troubleshooting our network and system infrastructure, supporting cloud operations, and participating in departmental projects.

Key Responsibilities

• AD Servers & VMware: Manage, configure, and troubleshoot AD servers and VMware VCenter to ensure secure user access and optimal system performance.
• Network Device Management: Manage and maintain network devices, including firewalls, routers, switches, and storage systems, ensuring regular updates and security.
• WAN Support: Assist in the installation, configuration, and management of Wide Area Network (WAN) connections to ensure reliable and secure communication between branch offices and headquarters.
• Security Management: Monitor and manage security systems, including Intrusion Prevention Systems (IPS), firewall policies, and anti-virus/malware protection.
• Remote IT Support: Provide remote technical support to branch office MIS teams, resolving IT issues promptly to minimize downtime.
• AWS Operations: Support AWS network operations, ensuring effective integration with on-premises infrastructure.
• Project Participation: Participate in GTS projects, including system upgrades, migrations, and the implementation of new technologies.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.

Experience: At least 7+ years of experience in IT systems administration, network management, and security protection.

Skills:

• Expertise in managing AD servers, VMware VCenter, and Windows Servers.
• Proficiency in managing network devices, including firewalls, routers, switches, and storage systems.
• Experience with Wide Area Network (WAN) management and remote support.
• Strong knowledge of security management, including IPS, firewall policies, and anti-virus/malware protection.
• Familiarity with AWS network operations and cloud integration.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently.
• VMware, Firewall, and IPS experience are required; AWS experience is a plus.

Certifications:

• MCSA, VCP, and AWS Certified Solutions Architect certifications are preferred.

Language Skills:

• Effective communication skills in listening, speaking, reading, and writing in both English and Chinese.
