Job Description Summary:

What you need to know about the role:

In this position, you will join a dynamic team of Zettle by PayPal Business Development Managers who focus on partnering with small to medium-sized business (SMB) merchants. Your role involves utilizing a consultative sales approach within the omni-channel space, combining your existing connections and extensive knowledge of both the payments and SaaS sectors. Your primary objective will be to win and onboard Instore-First Net New Merchants to the PayPal platform, ensuring they are equipped with the best solutions for their business needs. This role has responsibility for a London South Area.

Each day, you will act as a champion for SMBs and our organization, demonstrating your in-depth knowledge and passion for the local geography and the specific needs of small businesses. You will engage with potential clients, offering tailored solutions to help them succeed. Your routine will involve leveraging your network, identifying new business opportunities, and guiding merchants through the onboarding process to integrate them seamlessly into the PayPal ecosystem. Through your efforts, you will play a crucial role in expanding our market presence and driving growth for both our merchants and PayPal.

Your day-to-day:

In your day-to-day role, you will:

  • Stimulate demand for PayPal products and services in South London by increasing awareness and credibility within small business communities.
  • Target, qualify, and close SMB single & multi-site operators in a hybrid field-based role.
  • Build and maintain relationships with local partners and existing customers to drive sales.
  • Manage the sales cycle from identifying strategic new business opportunities to closing key accounts.
  • Achieve monthly revenue targets and OKRs aligned with company objectives.
  • Actively sell Zettle/PayPal products to new SMB and Mid-Market customers.

What do you need to bring:

  • A self-driven, dedicated, and motivated individual who can drive revenue growth in a fast-paced sales environment.
  • Proven track record of overperformance in a sales role, ideally within payments or SaaS.
  • Strong customer-centric approach, excellent negotiating and people skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and Salesforce.
  • Team player with great interpersonal, cross-cultural, and communication skills.
