POSITION OVERVIEW

The Production Planner is responsible for collating all information to secure on-time bulk deliveries. This includes gathering inputs from factories and suppliers, the Raw Material Manager, Product Developers, and the Inbound Logistics team to compile the seasonal MasterList - ToS’s production time and action plan for bulk.

The role ensures accurate bulk dates are communicated in a timely manner, prebooking capacity at factories, managing bulk fabric and trim bookings, communicates size breakdowns, and finalises PO dates.

The Production Planner also adjusts bookings during the selling-in period to maximize order intake and is responsible to review prices and margin changes during the bulk booking process and sign off any such changes with the Product Director prior to POs being issued or bulk orders placed.

The position is a maternity leave cover between October 2024 and July 2025 with a chance of prolongation.

RESPONSIBILITIES & TASKS

Ensuring deadlines are adhered to by internal and external partners through close partnership and regular communication on the bulk timings. Where this is not possible, in good time work with the supply chain partners to present solutions to avoid delays in bulk production.

Developing a strong working knowledge of factory capabilities to maximise bulk needs.

Develop weekly plans for fabric purchases, capacity commitments, and PO confirmations. Share with Merchandising to ensure deadlines are adhered to and orders are placed on time.

Work with the Merchandising team to review actual order intake vs. prebookings to optimize the final buy.

Building and maintaining relationships with colleagues and supply chain partners.

Understanding product costs to balance creativity and commerciality when negotiating bulk order surcharge information.

SKILLS

Excellent communication skills, with the ability to negotiate with credibility, share information effectively, and work confidently with cross-functional teams.

Solid experience in negotiating price, capacity, and production needs.

Fashion sensibility; knowledge of the market, the consumer, and peer awareness.

TOOLS & SYSTEMS

Microsoft Office, especially Excel

ERP system (Infor M3)

PDM / PLM systems

SAP Business Objects or Other Business Intelligence Tools
