Operations Officer Logistics

For our Logistics department in Machelen we are looking for an operational employee Transport/Logistics. In this role, you will be a versatile transportation employee responsible for handling and shipping goods within a predetermined time frame.

• Handling transportation & warehouse files.
• Receiving incoming and outgoing orders.
• Passing on pick-up - collection from internal transport department or external carriers.
• Registering the orders in the company owned shipping package.
• Coordinating the shipment.
• Booking with regular subcontractors (road).
• Passing the file to the declaration department for preparation of the customs document.
• Creation through the expedition package of all necessary documents.
• Tracking the shipment to its final destination.
• Keeping all information regarding the shipment in 1 file.
• Giving and requesting all necessary information to customers and agents to complete the order.
• All communication with customer is done in English.
• Contributes to team efforts.

Requirements

• You have completed studies in the field of “transportation and logistics” or have several years of work experience in this sector.
• You are familiar with a warehousing environment.
• You can communicate well and are fluent in Dutch, French and English.
• You can perform well under pressure.
• You are a team player, flexible and motivated.
